Seems like there is too much complaining/bashing of dealers here. This forum is getting to be more about complaining than flashlights. Use Paypal or a credit card and don’t worry about your order. No hard feelings to you complainers either, really like a lot of the complainers but not the complaining.

Not at all, one of the things a forum is for is to get feedback on suppliers. As long as it’s 100% honest it’s a good thing to state. Nobody has to read or comment if they don’t want to. If it’s already a supplier you don’t like just skip it. Also it’s good to know how these companies resolve their issues.

I appreciate honest reports on our suppliers.

I want to know the good the bad and the ugly.

I had a whinge about fancyflashlights. At the time it was a genuine feeling that the supplier was MIA due to my emails to him bouncing, his partner (CNQG) site being MIA for weeks, and many people not receiving orders or customer service. All these things should be made known to people.

My order came through in the end and Ric responded to my pm. I updated this for others to know.

Some complaints are valid and helpful to others.

They have some responsibility when it comes to shipping time. They choose who they ship through(HKP, SP, USPS, etc.etc.), and how they do it (drop shipping, warehouses, etc). They can research and find the best method for how they wish to serve their customers; granted sometimes there are anomalies that they cannot predict, and some locations just don’t have reliable shipping methods.

Yes, but better shipping costs more, and everyone rushes to the seller that lists the item for $.50 less. They're under a lot of pressure to use the cheapest method, regardless of any other concern.

No "both" button available. Too much complaining and b1tc4ing but I do want to know if there are shipping, safety, quality, honesty issues beforehand. Am I willing to risk a couple of bucks for an iffy prospect? Maybe. Paypal offers protection but that is not the outcome I am looking for either. I don't want my money back or I wouldn't have bought the darn thing in the first place. I want what I ordered.

Knowing is important to prevent the venting but complaining for the sake of complaining or because you or I didn't read what was posted before ordering...tough toodles.

Not at all. One of the primary reasons i use this site is to research suppliers. It’s like the Yelp of flashlights. The complaining helps guys like me who don’t have a massive amount of experience with led lights know which suppliers can be trusted.

So, huge thanks to the complainers!

I like to complain. It's fun. If I woke up and couldn't complain, I wouldn't have a reason to get up. Even if it's only to complain about the complaints.Tongue Out

It is what it is...

^ This is where I’m at. I generally don’t need to hear complaints in a deal thread. That’s something that’s been going on here for a while. People stop by a deal thread just to rattle on about wishes like “I wish this was from another dealer. I’ll NEVER deal with this dealer again.”

Complaints in the dealer experiences section are good, but it’s nice if some people take the time to post good experiences in there too.

I’ve also seen some pretty loud complaint threads recently which I felt were baseless or at last partially due to the individual doing the complaining… that’s uncool too.

I suppose there’s not a lot we’ll do about this though, except to lead by example. (scary right? ;))

Did not you mean scary wight?

you guys are wude

I don’t see it all as complaining, I kinda see most of it as a “beware” warning. If it happened to someone else then it has a high chance of happening to you as well. I dont like how many new threads start about complaining/warnings of the same place over and over. There are dealer threads so everything should be posted in those, plus keeps everything in one place and easy to see if its a common issue or not.

Doesn’t matter if they are providing good deals or not, they have a responsibility to do things quickly and not F it up! WalMart sells stuff cheap, same with bestbuy, target, etc…… They dont F up online orders and if they do, they fit it right away. Same should be expected of these retailers……you F up, fix it or we will bash you so your future orders are impacted. Maybe next time they wont F it up! If they do, we will bash them until no one buys from them. I used to LOVE FT, they F’d me over twice and I wont even recommend them anymore.

Making PP disputes and dealing with that isnt worth the time or hassle. I’d rather pay a few bucks more from a place who hasn’t screwed me over.

So now someone has to make a poll about whether there is too much complaining about the amount of complaining about dealers now?

I very much appreciate the critical users on blf.

for 6 months straight,
everything i bought from china was defective.
my opus is defective.
you can not possibly complain too much about the chinese sellers.—-

i agree that no one who buys from china
should complain about shipping time.
it is anal to track your packages.
find something else to do.

Why do you write so weirdly, in paragraphs?
Back on topic, I think complaining is useful for potential customers. If 100 people complain about slow shipping maybe there is some truth to the reason for complaining. On the other hand, there was this guy on the opus group buy who was complaining that the charger had a 0,001 mV error. Now that is not useful to nobody.

Complaining about slow shipping has different meanings to different people.

If my orders turn up before 45 days then I’m happy, if its after 45 days then its a big hassle to go through all the PayPal crap just to protect yourself if it never arrives.

People complaining about something that took 2 weeks is what I don’t understand, I wish I got my orders that quick.

Also not to do with shippng at all, some sellers are just plain shady and dishonest. I don’t see a problem “complaining” to let other people know to avoid them.

Is this thread complaining about people complaining?

Nice :stuck_out_tongue:
