This dorcy light was on sale on Tmart. 1.99$ including shipping is unbelievable. (shipped from us with tracking)
Its output is not high in any ways (10 lumens), but the host is very good looking.
I do not know if this has a driver seems like direct drive, but with 1.5V input,
Led should be rated 1.5V or there should be some minimum boost circuit.
My very first flashlight was one of these little single-AAA Dorcy lights! Very similar to the one reviewed here; the first one, with the non-focusing lens:

It went through it's share of mods before it was eventually retired. I replaced the emitter with a brighter Nichia 5mm LED. At one time, I tried replacing it with a side-emitting 5mm emitter from a string of LED Christmas bulbs to make some use of the otherwise-cosmetic reflector. The bulb wasn't bright enough though, so it didn't work out well.
Thanks for the alert. Seems pretty decent host material for $2 shipped.
